Clothing is an important element when playing - Click HERE for more information.
Rental Packages: For those of you who would like to rent a package, you will find our rental packages and rates HERE; and since there are a number of packages to choose from, it is important when you and your team book your time, we know what packages you would prefer for each player so we can have them ready to go.
Safety comes first at Horseshoe, and the fun and strategy of paintball is what playing paintball is all about. Paintball has the lowest injury record of any sport (even lower than bowling), and the following guide lines when playing will provide you and your team with a very enjoyable experience.
When you arrive at the Horseshoe Valley Paintball Depot, a registration and or waiver form must be filled out by each player or guardian of player(s) under the age of 18 years old prior to entering the park.
When the waiver form is completed, an Expert Horseshoe Valley Paintball Field Marshall will give you and your team an orientation in marker safety, park rules, and general safety conduct while you are at Horseshoe. Once this is done, you will be ready to go out to the fields and a designated Field Marshall will direct you.
Clothing is an important element while playing any sport and paintball is no exception.
Appropriate clothing for all paintball participants:
A good medium weight pull over or “Hoody” over top of a shirt or T-shirt. This will protect the back, front, and neck area and also helps to absorb sweat and helps protect the player’s skin when they get hit from a paintball. Loose clothing is better, but not too loose as to be cumbersome.
Long slakes or pants or jeans of a medium weight are also important for the same reasons mentioned above. Again loose is better.
Good firm foot wear - something you might use hiking, or a good runner. Keep in mind you will be running, jumping and hiding amongst the buildings, and obstacles in the field and good foot ware like any outdoor sport help support the ankles and feet.
Gloves to protect your hands are an option, however, even professional paintball players wear gloves; the hands are a sensitive area, and the sting of a paintball on the back of the hand can be uncomfortable.
For those of you who are really into the game, camouflage clothing is a huge benefit, and many paintball and air-soft participants wear “Camo” to give them the edge they need to “take out” the opposition and win.
